Home Ed Group Nov-Dec

This is our Thursday morning Home Education group running for a 7 week block this time. This block starts on 6th November and runs until the 18th December. The group has proven popular lately so booking the block is advisable to ensure you secure a space. This is at a reduced rate of £8 per session compared to the £9.50 pay-as-you-go cost.

The group runs from 10 to 12 noon and features a different theme every week with a range of activities and equipment to explore. Sessions will take account of children’s interests and needs, and include some tool work, fire lighting, den building and cooking. All sessions will begin and end with a gather around the fire circle. During winter we may make more use of the fire and shelter with log burner as needed to keep warm as well as engaging in more active forest school fun.

Forest school is designed to be child-led so all the activities are optional and there are always lots of ‘free-play’ areas to explore such as the mud kitchen, boat, bikes and the digging area.

This is however NOT a drop-off group and children must be accompanied by parents at all sessions.

Half way through each session snack will be provided for children (fruit & cake with water or squash) as well as teas or coffees and cake for the grown ups. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements and we can arrange alternatives.

Places are limited to 18 adults. Additional children are half price – discount for siblings or childminders. You are also welcome to bring cash on the day but please let us know in advance so we can make sure we have enough cake and that we don’t exceed our maximum number of adults on site. Thank you.
