November art classes
October 18, 2021Tree Babies Christmas special
November 16, 2021Fire cider workshop
Sophie Outen, our local medicinal herbalist, is back with this fantastic winter workshop. Learn how to make your own ‘fire cider’ – an immunity tonic made with horse radish, ginger, garlic, onions, pepper, apple cider vinegar and honey. It helps protect against colds and flu and eases sinus congestion.
All materials plus a large glass bottle are provided so you can take your fire cider home with you.
Sophie will talk you through the health benefits of each ingredient as we chop and process them to add to the bottle. The fire cider will need at least 30 days to macerate at home before you can strain it and and start drinking it – a spoon a day should keep the sniffles away! You can take it straight, mix it in herbal teas, salad dressing or add it to what you’re cooking.
Only 8 places available. The workshop will take place in our craft shelter, which has a log-burning stove, so it should be nice and cosy.
Online ticket sales for this event are closed.
